MGSU students – participants of the International Competition of Young Developers, Architects and Urban Planners IREC 2022
Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu welcomed the participants of the IREC 2022 international competition of young developers, architects and urban planners. Students and teachers of Ankara University, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Izhevsk State Technical University named after M.T. Kalashnikov and Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov arrived in the city to prepare projects based on existing real estate objects in Istanbul.
During the meeting, Ekrem Imamoglu spoke about the city's development strategy “Vision 2050" and wished the participants success in preparation of competition projects. The reception of Russian students in Ankara and Istanbul is organized by the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Ankara University.
Meanwhile, MGSU, Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics are hosting students of Ankara University. Guests study real estate objects in the participating cities of the competition. Two modern complexes have been selected in Moscow for research and visits of participants, which have received prestigious international prizes - ROSTECCITY of Asterus () and the Comcity Office Park of the international investor and developer PPF Real Estate Russia ().
IREC is an educational business-game with a 20-year history dedicated to solving practical cases in the field of commercial real estate. This year the competition is held in a mixed format, combining online lectures and face-to-face visits to cities to prepare projects. This year, universities from Italy, the USA, Sweden, Turkey, Finland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Russia are taking part in the competition.
Students of the “Institute of Economics, Management and Information Systems in Construction and Real Estate” Sherzod Hashimov, Anna Vasilyeva, Vika Mulina and students of the “Institute of Construction and Architecture” Bakhtovar Maksudov, Anastasia Grin, Lia Katsia, Anastasia Prokopova take part in the competition from the MGSU. Head of the International Educational Programs Department Marat Magomedov coordinated work of participants from Russia.
